I am from Kandy, Sri Lanka, and enrolled in the Foundation Studies Programme in February 2007. From the very first day I knew I'd made the correct decision. It's been an unforgettable experience to meet other people from various cultures - it's just like a small United Nations.
Victoria offers a very warm environment in which to study. The academic staff are very friendly and supportive and always stand behind you to show the correct path. They provide the opportunity for us to get involved in every university activiy.
The most significant thing is that Victoria University respects and listens to the voices of international studnets, just the same as for local students.
I'm enjoying life at the Capital City University and I plan to continue my studies at Victoria, doing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. After completing my studies, New Zealand will be my first option to start my career, as I cannot imagine another place with an environment like this.
Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city. It’s full of cafes, bars and theatres and has a beautiful harbour.
